COMUNICATO STAMPA NITAG: indipendenti no, stakeholder sì? 16 agosto 2025 L’Associazione ContiamoCi! prende atto della decisione del Ministro della Salute, Orazio Schillaci, di revocare le nomine del NITAG prima ancora che questo potesse iniziare a operare. Come emerso in questi giorni, la composizione del comitato presentava gravi inconvenienti dovuti alla presenza di soggetti in situazioni documentate di conflitto di interesse, in particolare in ambito farmaceutico. Inconvenienti cui sembrava logico porre rimedio fin dall’inizio, anziché dopo una pubblica levata di scudi. È altrettanto evidente, tuttavia, che lo scioglimento del NITAG non sia stato determinato unicamente da tali conflitti, ma anche dalle forti pressioni politiche e mediatiche provenienti anche dall’interno della maggioranza (in particolare da Forza Italia), nonché da FNOMCeO e da alcune società “scientifiche”, che hanno contestato la presenza nel neonato organismo di due medici illustri ma non allineati con le posizioni dominanti. La vicenda dimostra come la logica del confronto aperto e plurale sia stata sostituita dalla difesa di posizioni ideologiche precostituite. Ma qui emergono le vere contraddizioni. Il Ministro avrebbe infatti deciso di revocare le nomine “per agire nell’interesse esclusivo dei cittadini”, ma ha annunciato contestualmente che il nuovo NITAG vedrà la partecipazione di non meglio precisati “stakeholder”, cioè di portatori di interessi privati. In queste ore, da Palazzo Chigi si registrano reazioni critiche: Giorgia Meloni si è detta irritata, perché la scelta “non era concordata”. Anche esponenti di Fratelli d’Italia e dalla Lega hanno richiamato la necessità del pluralismo e del libero confronto scientifico. ContiamoCi! concorda con la necessità del pluralismo, purché sia davvero imparziale e libero da condizionamenti di qualsivoglia natura: un sano “pluralismo” in materia di Sanità Pubblica non può essere abbinato alla voce “portatori d’interesse”. La gestione della salute pubblica richiede autorevolezza e indipendenza. La coerenza tra dichiarazioni e fatti è fondamentale, così come lo è affidare scelte delicate a esperti scelti per la loro integrità professionale e non per ragioni altre che con la scienza nulla hanno a che fare.
