SENSO DI COLPA
Sul Corriere di sabato vi era un'importante intervista del rabbino capo di Roma, Riccardo Di Segni,
Alla domanda dell'intervistatore, Paolo Conti, se "Gaza rischia di cancellare Auschwitz", Di Segni ha così risposto:
«Non è un rischio, ma un dato di fatto, una certezza nel momento in cui viene usata in una maniera così pericolosamente disinvolta la parola genocidio. Tutto è mediaticamente finalizzato a cancellare il vero genocidio, con una grande operazione di lavaggio delle coscienze utilizzando il senso di colpa dell’Occidente per la Shoah che così finirà per liberarsene completamente. E nulla sarà più come prima».
L'umanità di Di Segni é commovente.
Il rabbino capo di Roma non sembra preoccuparsi per le sofferenze di chi a Gaza viene ammazzato o si ritrova senza casa , senza averi e senza famiglia. Per costoro, infatti, nell'intervista neanche una parola. E' invece preoccupato che l'Occidente si liberi "dal senso di colpa per la Shoah".
E per chi vuole davvero capire, quest'ultima frase già spiega quasi tutto.

When asked by interviewer Paolo Conti whether "Gaza risks erasing Auschwitz," Di Segni responded:
"It's not a risk, but a fact, a certainty when the word genocide is used so dangerously casually. The media is all geared toward erasing the true genocide, with a major conscience-washing operation that exploits the West's sense of guilt for the Holocaust, ultimately freeing it completely. And nothing will ever be the same again."
Di Segni's humanity is moving.
The Chief Rabbi of Rome doesn't seem to care about the suffering of those killed in Gaza or left homeless, without possessions, or without family. Indeed, not a word was said about them in the interview. Instead, he's worried that the West will free itself "from the guilt of the Holocaust."
And for those who truly want to understand, this last sentence explains almost everything.
