Composition and Structure of a Peristaltic Pump System

Most users may not be familiar with this type of pump. A peristaltic pump, also known as a hose pump, is a new type of industrial pump developed in modern industry. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries to transport media with high sensitivity, high viscosity, strong corrosiveness, strong abrasiveness, high purity requirements, and certain particulate matter.

A peristaltic pump system consists of three parts: a peristaltic pump drive, a peristaltic pump head, and a peristaltic pump tube.

1. Selection of Peristaltic Pump Tube

Conditions for selecting a peristaltic pump tube:

· Provides a certain degree of elasticity so that the tube can quickly recover its original shape when subjected to radial pressure.

· Has good wear resistance.

· Can withstand pressure.

· Is impermeable (has good sealing performance).

· Low adsorption, good temperature resistance, slow aging, no expansion, corrosion resistance, and low permeability.

2. Selection of Peristaltic Pump Head

· Choose single-channel or multi-channel fluid delivery.

· Ease of replacing the tube.

· Ease of fixing the tube.

· Fine-tune the compression gap through a ratchet or other means to adapt to tubes with different wall thicknesses or achieve precise pressure adjustment.

· Roller selection: 6-roller structure has a slightly larger flow rate; 10-roller structure has smaller fluid flow fluctuations.

· Whether the triggering mechanism is flexible and whether the card is easy to open.

3. Selection of Peristaltic Pump Drive

· Whether flow control is required.

· Whether liquid dispensing is required.

· Flow range.

· Whether the overall structure is reasonable and the operation is convenient.

· Whether the flow accuracy and liquid level accuracy meet the requirements.  

· Special requirements: protection level, explosion-proof level, etc.

· External control requirements: equipment matching, operating mode, etc.
