Both adopt 50Ω characteristic impedance (75Ω optional for MCX) and support DC to 6GHz signal transmission, with VSWR ≤1.30 and low insertion loss, ensuring stable, low-leakage RF performance. MCX is 30% smaller than SMB connectors, offering higher power capacity and voltage resistance; MMCX, a scaled-down version of MCX (about 30% smaller), features ultra-low profile and 360° rotational mating for greater design flexibility.
Their unique advantages lie in tool-free snap-on coupling, enabling quick mating and disconnection, and compact sizes that facilitate high-density PCB layouts. Manufactured with precision processes, they use gold-plated brass/beryllium copper contacts, nickel/gold-plated brass housing and PTFE insulators, withstanding -55℃ to +155℃ working temperature and 500+ plugging cycles, and resisting vibration and moisture.
