As a trusted source of Help for Newcomers to Canada in Ajax, Ontario, we support individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and practical guidance at every step of their settlement journey.

From Welcome to Belonging

Durham Community Support Group began with a simple belief: every community member deserves to feel at home.

What started as a small group of volunteers helping families move into furnished homes has grown into a community-wide movement. Over the years, we’ve walked alongside countless newcomers as they navigated:

  • Housing and settlement
  • Education and employment pathways
  • Community integration
  • Building a sense of belonging in Canadian life

Our story is shaped by the journeys of those we serve, the strength of our partnerships, and the dedication of volunteers who believe that belonging is not just a hope—it’s a reality we build together.
