BO7 Astra Malorum Main Quest Easter Egg: Full Guide & Tips
How do you complete the Astra Malorum main quest? In a Treyarch Zombies map with tinges of Infinity Ward's Zombies in Spaceland, our Black Ops squad is headed to outer space in Astra Malorum.
This far-out Zombies map takes place on a strange Dark Aether planet after vehicular BO7 Wonder Weapon Ol' Tessie somehow transports the team through space. On arrival on the purple, glowing rock, they find an observatory, museum, and more, all of which are crucial to the latest Black Ops 7 Zombies easter egg. Here's how to complete the full Astra Malorum easter egg.
How to complete the Astra Malorum main quest
These are the steps we've found towards completing the Astra Malorum easter egg quest so far:
Follow the directed steps to unlock the PaP machine.
Destroy one of OSCAR's UFO projectiles with a Packed weapon to obtain a Crashed UFO.
Find and shoot the blinking lamppost to pick up wires.
In the Observatory Dome, shoot the gas valves as they power on.
Interact with the Harmonic Oculus to use it. Focus the crosshairs on the Sun to activate a powerful ray.
Lure OSCAR to the ray and use it to kill him. Pick up the Shiny Trinket he drops. If you don't kill him, you can reactivate the trap in the next Round.
Shoot Ol' Tessie's bonnet with a Pack-A-Punched weapon to get a Car Battery. Interact with the Electro-Volt Projector to place the battery.
Lure OSCAR towards the Luminarium and use the Electro-Volt Projector to kill him.
Purchase the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod and use it to shoot purple crystals outside the museum. Collect three Absolute Zero Fragments that drop.
Use them by interacting with the rocket in the Museum Infinitum.
Lure OSCAR to the back of the rocket trap and use it to kill him a third time. He drops another Trinket and the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon.
Pick up the bonesaw item found in a cabinet in Museum Infinitum.
With an OSCAR on the map, follow behind him stealthily so he doesn't see you. Stay close until a playback dialogue triggers, during which he speaks with Thurston. Note the three planets listed during the dialogue.
Turn those three planets into numbers based on their order in the Solar System, and enter these, in the order they were listed, into the code terminal in the Observatory Dome.
Pick up the Cryo Key and take it to the cryo chamber in Machina Astralis.
Use the bonesaw on the body in the cryo chamber to obtain his brain.
A player picks up an item needed to complete the Astra Malorum main quest easter egg.
Here are some of the other leads discovered so far:
Pick up three discs and place them on three gramophones. One disc is located in Machina Astralis, and the gramophones are found in The Luminarium, Archive of Orbis, and Museum Infinitum.
Aim down your sights at the brightly glowing lampshades to draw glowing orbs towards you.
Interact with clocks to slow down time.
Locate pieces of paper across the map and make note of which planet and ordinal direction is written on each.
We'll add to these steps and put them in a more practical order once we've figured out the best practice.
To make your journey through the Astra Malorum main quest as painless as possible, make sure you equip the best BO7 Perk-A-Colas, each with their own top BO7 Augments equipped. Plus, you'll likely want to equip one of our favorite Black Ops 7 weapons to complement your Wonder Weapon.
