Weapon Prestiging is yet another progression path in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and functions similarly to the account Prestige mechanic from previous titles. Open the Weapon Prestige menu and hold down the prompted button for about five seconds to reset your weapon’s level. You’ll lose access to all of your previously unlocked attachments, save your optics, but you’ll gain a permanent Attachment Unlock Token, a unique Camo, and a Prestige Attachment you can’t get anywhere else.

Complete the Weapon Prestige process twice to reach Weapon Prestige Master, where you’ll unlock more Camo challenges and raise your weapon’s level cap to 250. Reaching 250 unlocks a final Prestige camo you can show off to your teammates to rep your dedication to that weapon.

You can apply your Prestige camos in the special Weapon Prestige menu when you want to customize your weapon. You’ll also be able to check out the requirements for all the camos you haven’t yet unlocked.

Reaching max level with a weapon will take at least a few hours, even with a Double Weapon XP token active. It’s also dependent on how well you perform in a match. If you want to level weapons in Zombies, where it’s a bit easier, a single weapon level can take between 5-10 minutes, provided you have a train of 20-30 zombies to shred.
