Optimize for manufacturability: Reduce machining time and complexity by simplifying designs, using standard features, and exploring alternative machining methods for complex features.

2. Functionality and Quality:

Specify realistic tolerances: Overly tight tolerances can increase costs without improving functionality. Tolerances should be chosen in accordance with the part's function and assembly requirements.

Define critical dimensions and features: Clearly identify critical dimensions and features that require tight tolerances for proper function.

Consider material properties: Select a material that meets the part's strength, durability, and performance specifications.

3. Machinability:

Avoid thin features and sharp corners: These are challenging to machine and prone to issues, affecting cost and quality.
