The painful truth about product-market fit
So many e-commerce companies confuse early interest with promotion, and I've been guilty of this too. I thought that if I had an ad and a few sales, then the product was in line with the market. No. It was noise, not validation. True product market fit is when people come back without reminders. It's when customers tell others, not because you incentivize them, but because they can't keep quiet about it. I've had to rethink and rebuild a lot of things based on feedback, not just hope. Don't make a big deal out of it. Do it for the sake of resonance.
