This shows EA’s enthusiasm for expanding their audience through the Switch 2. However, the language is intentionally cautious. Phrases like “built specifically” and “grounded in what fans enjoy” hint that while these versions are inspired by the mainline games, they may not mirror them exactly.

Feature and Visual Parity: Managing Expectations

When asked if the Switch 2 versions would offer feature and visual parity with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, EA responded:

"Our goal is always to deliver a consistent player experience across platforms as much as the hardware allows."

This leaves plenty of room for interpretation. It suggests that while EA is aiming for a similar gameplay feel, there may still be differences in graphics quality, game modes, or performance levels.
