Is the cleaning process different for stainless steel?
The cleaning process is very similar to other dispensers, but stainless steel offers the added benefit of being generally dishwasher safe (though hand washing is always recommended to preserve the seals and exterior finish).
-
Disassemble: Always unscrew the head and remove the rubber gasket and silicone seal.
-
Wash: Wash all parts in warm, soapy water. The stainless steel body can be wiped clean with a soft cloth to maintain its shine. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the mirror finish.
-
Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure no soap residue remains, as this can affect future batches.
-
Dry Completely: Allow all parts to air dry fully before reassembling to prevent any moisture buildup.
-
Seal Care: Periodically check the rubber seals for wear and apply a little food-grade silicone lubricant to keep them flexible and ensure an airtight seal.
