There are some changes in competitions system, including the format changes for the European competitions from previous. As a manager, it is your responsibility to lead your team from lower leagues to European glory. This format is very similar to the real one.

For the format, teams are grouped with three other teams and then each opponent plays two games home and two away, for a total of six games in the previous game. The new system eliminates the group-based system, making way for a “league phase” of the game. All teams are placed in a league table. Teams are then matched against eight or six opponents, depending on the competition.

As for the promotion rules, if you are in the top eight of this new league table, you can directly enter knockout stages. However,  if you finish between ninth and twenty-fourth, you’ll be entered into a two-legged knockout round. Finally, there will be a total of 16 teams that get in knockout stages.
