Vannacci sfida il governo Meloni: “Continuare a mandare armi all’Ucraina è follia, l’esercito russo avanza e noi paghiamo il conto” "Continuare a cedere armi e fondi infiniti all’Ucraina è follia. Se vogliamo essere coerenti con l’approccio bellicistico, dobbiamo entrare in guerra con la Russia. Ma allora il governo dica agli italiani che andranno a versare il loro sangue per Kiev. Nuovo fronte di tensione nella maggioranza di governo sul sostegno militare all’Ucraina. A riaccendere il dibattito è Roberto Vannacci, europarlamentare della Lega ed ex generale dell’Esercito, intervenuto a Battitori Liberi, su Radio Cusano Campus, dove ha ribadito la sua fermissima contrarietà al decreto armi approvato dal governo Meloni a fine dicembre 2025, che proroga fino al 2026 gli aiuti militari a Kiev. In Aula, i leghisti Sasso e Ziello hanno votato no su risoluzioni collegate, in linea con la posizione dello stesso Vannacci. L’ex generale rivendica la linea dura e sottolinea come il dissenso non sia rimasto isolato: “Mi dà soddisfazione che non solo due parlamentari della Lega abbiano votato no in Aula, ma molti di più. Il mio appello era rivolto a tutti perché ritengo che trovare una pace a questo conflitto sia un interesse nazionale. Questa guerra non ha portato nulla di buono all’Italia. Ha portato a meno commercio, a meno ricchezza, a meno benessere, a un caro vita eccessivo e a un prezzo dell’energia salito alle stelle, oltre a tantissimi imprenditori italiani che non possono più esportare i loro beni in Russia”. Nel suo intervento, l’europarlamentare leghista cita anche il dato dei disertori ucraini per rafforzare la tesi dell’inutilità della strategia occidentale: “Solo nel 2025 ci sono stati 180mila ucraini che sono scappati per non andare al fronte. Non è più una guerra che il popolo ucraino vuole portare avanti, perché quattro anni di cessione continua di armi e fondi infiniti non hanno portato ai risultati sperati, mentre l’esercito russo continua ad avanzare”. A riguardo, cita Einstein sulla follia di ripetere sempre le stesse azioni aspettandosi esiti diversi: “Per non essere dei folli dobbiamo cambiare strategia e usare altri strumenti, oppure, se vogliamo essere coerenti con l’approccio bellicistico, dobbiamo entrare in guerra con la Russia insieme a Unione europea e Nato, ma dobbiamo anche dirlo chiaramente agli italiani e spiegare che i nostri figli e nipoti andranno a versare il loro sangue per Kiev”. Al giornalista Savino Balzano che cita le parole del segretario generale della Nato, Mark Rutte, sulla necessità di prepararsi alla guerra, Vannacci replica tranchant, anche con una frecciata alla maggioranza di governo: “Gli psicopatici sono tanti, ma non credo che gli italiani siano d’accordo. E siccome io credo che la sovranità appartenga al popolo e che il Parlamento sia là proprio per garantire che questa sovranità rimanga ancorata al popolo, una decisione del genere deve essere sposata da tutti quanti. Io mi auguro – ribadisce – che si cambino gli strumenti e che si arrivi a una pace oggi, che ci costerà sicuramente, ma costerà meno della pace di domani, perché il trend dell’invasione russa non sta cambiando. Questi sono dati reali e oggettivi”. L’ex generale sposta poi l’attenzione sulle priorità interne: “Questo Paese ha bisogno di maggiore attenzione sulla sicurezza, sull’immigrazione fuori controllo, sull’islamizzazione estremamente allarmante della nostra patria, sul prezzo dell’energia e su salari bassi e sanità che si sta sgretolando. Queste sono le priorità degli italiani – continua, giudicando inaccettabile destinare fondi a Kiev mentre famiglie e imprese faticano a fine mese – Ci sono 50 milioni di euro nella manovra che dovranno andare all’Ucraina e un fondo di debito comune europeo da 90 miliardi che qualcuno dovrà restituire, perché gli ucraini non lo faranno mai”. Alla domanda sulle ripercussioni politiche delle sue posizioni, Vannacci rivendica la propria autonomia: “Io faccio i miei appelli, mi interessa quello che pensano gli altri, ma non mi faccio condizionare. Anche se colleghi di partito o di maggioranza non fossero d’accordo, la forza di una coalizione sta nella pluralità delle espressioni. Io voto a Bruxelles e posso dire con coscienza di avere sempre votato in maniera coerente per uno stop alla cessione di armi e fondi illimitati all’Ucraina, perché ritengo che questa strategia sia fallimentare”. Sul piano internazionale, l’europarlamentare affronta anche il caso Iran, invitando a evitare letture selettive: “È una situazione complessa, c’è una dittatura che opprime un popolo, ma non è l’unica nell’area. Ci sono tanti altri Stati con cui l’Occidente intrattiene ottime relazioni pur non essendo democrazie liberali“. E menziona il Qatar, l’Arabia Saudita e recenti accordi commerciali del governo Meloni. E sulla Siria aggiunge: “Al-Jolani è stato ricevuto dalla signora Ursula von der Leyen, ricordo che era un terrorista di Al-Qaeda”.
