Sometimes not even that long, honestly. A few days in and you start seeing it—little frizz, slight loosening, edges not as sharp. It’s normal, but still a bit frustrating.
Maintaining cornrow braids isn’t complicated...
A loose feather here. A little over-preening there. You might even think, “Okay, birds shed… that’s normal, right?”
And yeah, sometimes it is.
But then it keeps happening. More feathers. Bare patches. A pattern you can’t really ignore anymore. That’s when it shifts from “normal” to… something else. Something worth paying attention to....
